When it comes to anti-viruses, Bitdefender has been a well-known name for years. Bitdefender provides excellent security solutions and features from years, and the latest offering Antivirus Plus 2020 is no different. It comes packed with all the necessary features you would need at an affordable price.

Windows comes with Windows Defender, which has basic security features, but I have never been able to trust it. There are several reasons for it. It lacks advanced features, its UI is poor, it gives less control to the user as its settings are in System Settings. Windows Defender lags far behind a complete security solution from companies that specializes in PC security like Antivirus Plus 2020 from Bitdefender.

Today in this post, I will be reviewing Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020. I will tell you whether I found it to be the best or not. I will also tell you how easy or difficult the download, installation & use was. Let’s begin.

We used, analyzed and tested Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020 for a few days and also compared it to other antiviruses along the way.
In our honest review, we found it to be the best Antivirus for PC, there are many reasons for it which you will find as you read the review further.

Download and Installation

The download and installation were reasonably straightforward.
You just have to go to https://www.bitdefender.co.uk/solutions/antivirus.html
Click Download, give your email, and your download will start.
It will download an 11 MB installer file. Once you open it and accept T&Cs, the download of 500 MB will start, and you will be well on your way to installing and using the Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020 as soon as the whole process is complete. I installed it on my Windows 10 PC which has an Intel i7 processor with 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD. It took only a few minutes for the whole process to complete and load for the first time.

Security Features of Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020

Bitdefender’s Antivirus Plus 2020 is highly efficient and protective as it uses the core technology to avoid slowing down your PC & work efficiently while protecting you all along.

Quick Scan, System Scan and Protection

Quick Scan in Antivirus Plus 2020 runs a lightweight scan for your peace of mind while System Scan runs an in-depth analysis of your device and scans everything thoroughly.
Quick Scan is reasonably quick, and the scan was complete in about 8 minutes on my PC, which have over 1 TB of data to be scanned. On the other hand, System Scan took over an hour and a half.

Which one to perform?
System Scan is recommended once after installation so that the whole system is fully scanned. Later Quick Scans should be enough in most cases while System Scans could be performed once every month or so.

Behaviour Monitor and Ransomware Remediation

Bitdefender’s Antivirus Plus 2020 includes Behavior Monitor which stops Ransomware from encrypting any files on your system. It runs simultaneously with Ransomware Remediation feature, which backs up your targeted files if Antivirus detects anything as possible Ransomware.

Password Manager

Bitdefender provides the feature of Password Manager. As the name suggests, basically it allows you to store your passwords and sensitive information which you want to store securely. You can create one or more wallets and store your information in it. Each wallet is secured by a master password. Along with logins, it’s able to store credit card details, wireless network passwords, license keys, email server details, and personal information (name, dob, address, email, phone nos. etc.). It prevents unauthorized changes to your sensitive files so that Ransomware or any threat can’t compromise them. You can manually configure your protected files/folders which may include any form of data like Photos, Documents etc.

You can also avail 30-day trial before buying, but after reading this review, you don’t really need a trial to be sure. The features it is offering at this price are better than any other antivirus software and it also out-performs others in terms of protection.

After using and testing it for a few days, we can conclusively say that Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020 provides the best value for money and out-performs its competitors when it comes to Protection Features. It an absolute must for PC security and provides much better control & protection than the inbuilt Windows Defender or any other Antivirus Software.

Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020 is the basic Paid Plan from Bitdefender and has way more functionality than most of the other antivirus apps, but lacks some features. You may be interested in Bitdefender Internet Security or Bitdefender Total Security if you are looking for more features like Webcam Filter, Firewall, Parental Controls etc.

Go for Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2020 if you are looking for an antivirus which provides all the features, one usually desires without asking for much from the pocket. If you need more advanced features, you might be interested in other Bitdefender products.
